מקדש הנמרים בקנצ`נבורי (Tiger Temple)
מקדש הנמרים הינו מקדש בודהיסטי אשר הוקם בעקבות פעילות של איסוף וטיפול בחיות פצועות ועזובות.
במקדש מגוון חיות (כגון איילים וחזירי בר) אולם גולת הכותרת בו הם הנמרים שהפכו מוקד לעלייה לרגל.
מדי יום בשעות הצהריים משוחררים הנמרים אל קניון טבעי הנמצא בתוך האתר, אז ניתן להיפגש עימם פנים אל פנים, ללטפם ולהצטלם עימם תחת עיניהם הערניות של נזירי המקדש. הנמרים מתגלים בביקור כחתולי ענק מנומנמים (יש הטוענים כי הם מסוממים). אל כל מבקר מתלווה נזיר האחראי עליו וכן צלם אשר מתעד את הליטופים. כל אורח זוכה ללטף לפחות חמישה נמרים. הנמרים הבוגרים ישנים בעת הליטוף, ואילו הנמרים הצעירים ערניים ומשמיעים מדי פעם שאגה מפחידה. תמורת תשלום נוסף יניחו הנמרים את ראשם הענקי בחיקכם ! בתום שעות הביקור (בחמש אחר הצהריים) נאספים כל הנמרים ומובלים בטור בחזרה אל המקדש

In 1999 the inhabiatants of a little village in the province of Kanchanaburi Thailand found in the forest two injured baby tigers whose parents had been killed by poachers

Not knowing what to do with them they took them to the Bhuddist temple Wat Pha Luang where they were housed and cared for by the monks The Temple tigers wake to see the day
Since then many orphaned baby tigers have been taken there and raised by the monks
The tigers are tame and used to eating only cooked meat in order to avoid developing a taste for blood They are treated like members of the temple family
Phra Acham Phusit
It is a communal place considered a sanctuary for animals and preservation centre
The temple is open to tourists
The employees keep the tigers under control and are ready to intervene if they become agitated.
The visitors are invited to leave a donation if they wish to be photographed with the tigers.
It is the only place in the world where it is possible to pat free tigers.
