יד ו י שכם אבר הם בבקר ו י קח-ל חם ו חמת מים ו י תן אל-הגר שם על-שכ מה ו את-הי לד--ו י של חה; ו תל ך ו תתע במדבר באר שבע.  טו ו י כלו המים מן-החמת; ו תשל ך את-הי לד תחת אחד השיחם.  טז ו תל ך ו תשב לה מנ גד הר חק כ מטחוי קשת כי אמרה אל-אר אה במות הי לד; ו תשב מנ גד ו תשא את-קלה ו תבך. 

יז ו י שמע אלהים את-קול הנ ער ו י קרא מלאך אלהים אל-הגר מן-השמים ו יאמר לה מה-ל ך הגר; אל-תיר אי כי-שמע אלהים אל-קול הנ ער באשר הוא-שם.  יח קומי שאי את-הנ ער ו החזיקי את-י דך בו:  כי-לגוי גדול אשימנו.
